Tahara-City Memeda River Rapeseed Blossom and Cherry Blossom Festival

A collaborative, floral display announcing spring
Approximately three kilometers of nanohana, or rapeseed blossoms, come into bloom along the Memeda River, complemented by about 300 cherry trees. The yellow and green of the rapeseed blossoms work with the pink cherry blossoms to dye the Memeda Riverbanks in vivid colors for an early preview of the spring season. On sunny days, carp streamers swim carelessly through the air along the river.
A special venue is set up for events on weekends, making this the perfect destination for a late winter adventure with rows of spectacular, early-blooming cherry blossoms.

- By public transportation
- From Toyohashi Station (reachable from Nagoya Station using either the JR Tokaido Main Line or Meitetsu Nagoya Line, or the JR Tokaido Shinkansen), take the Toyotetsu Bus's Irago Main Line bound for Cape Irago (Iragomisaki Bus Stop). Get off at the Atsumi Shop-Mae Bus Stop and walk 3 min. west.
This bus also stops at Mikawa Tahara Station on the Toyotetsu Atsumi Line (30-min. train ride from Shin-Toyohashi Station), in which case the bus ride is shortened to about 30 min.
