Catch sweetfish in clear waters before a BBQ
Oto River Fishing Weir at Mt. Miyamoto Natural Restoration Village offers hands-on fun at its weir—a method for catching fish like a sieve in a river—as well as refreshing BBQs from spring to summer. Every year in the middle of May, you can catch sweetfish in the lush natural Oto River with your own two hands before cooking and eating your catch over a BBQ grill.
Advance reservation required for BBQs and firefly observation. (Reservation required one day in advance.)

• Uncooked Course (3 sweetfish): JPY 1,750 (salted and grilled or available to take home raw)
• Grilled Course (3 sweetfish): JPY 2,550 (eat salted and grilled or fried)
• Meal Course (3 sweetfish): JPY 2,880 (set comprised of the Grilled Course plus rice)
