Toyohashi-City 31st Toyohashi Fire Festival

The Toyohashi Fire Festival is by far one of the top events in the Eastern Mikawa region in easternmost Aichi Prefecture. See Tezutsu Fireworks—fireworks shot off from handheld bamboo bazooka-like tubes—normally available only at certain festivals specially shot off on the event date. Tezutsu Fireworks are the major eyecatchers, but you can also see a variety of other different types shot off in spectacular fashion.
One thing that sets this festival apart from the rest is the awesome amount of Tezutsu Fireworks shot off all at once. Watch sparks shoot out from these canisters of combustion, flying ten meters into the autumn sky only to fall back down like pyrotechnic rainfall. This awe-inspiring spectacle is certainly worth it!
Points of consideration when coming to the venue and viewing:
• Bring a raincoat if rainy weather is expected. Umbrellas not allowed as they obstruct the view of other spectators.
• No smoking around the venue.
• Seated viewing only as standing obstructs the view of other spectators.
Points of consideration when taking pictures:
• Tripod and monopod use available only in photography seating area.
• Please refrain from photography methods which cause an inconvenience to other spectators (raising camera above head, etc.).
• Tripods and other photography equipment with a height over 1.8 m prohibited even in photography seating area.
• Selfie sticks prohibited.

- From Toyohashi Station (reachable from Nagoya Station using either the JR Tokaido Main Line, Meitetsu Nagoya Line, or the JR Tokaido Shinkansen), take the Toyotetsu City Line tram and get off at Toyohashikoen-Mae Station. Approx. 7-min. walk.
