The Toyohashi Fire Festival is by far one of the top events in the Eastern Mikawa region in easternmost Aichi Prefecture. See Tezutsu Fireworks—fireworks shot off from handheld bamboo bazooka-like tubes—normally available only at certain festivals specially shot off on the event date. Tezutsu Fireworks are the major eyecatchers, but you can also see a variety of other different types shot off in spectacular fashion from even from seats further to the back of the venue.
One thing that sets this festival apart from the rest is the awesome amount of Tezutsu Fireworks shot off all at once. Watch sparks shoot out from these canisters of combustion, flying ten meters into the autumn sky only to fall back down like pyrotechnic rainfall. This awe-inspiring spectacle is certainly worth it!
