Nagoya's botanical paradise

Inaugurated in 1909, Tsuruma Park is the first park created by the city of Nagoya after its establishment as a municipality, and as such, is a famous spot for all kinds of flora, especially the flowering kind: Cherry blossoms, roses, irises, and many more. During its Flower Festival, the cherry grove—selected as one of Japan's Top 100 Cherry Blossoms Spots—becomes alive with color and even lights up the night when cherry blossoms are illuminated for a beauty rivaling that of the daytime.
In addition to this botanical brilliance, the festival offers food trucks, a beer garden, and a variety of other events, so come join in on the fun of Tsuruma Park's Cherry Blossom Festival!

Spellbinding Somei Yoshino cherry blossoms

Tsuruma Park is famous for its reputation as a top flower viewing spot in Nagoya. The park is home to some 750 cherry trees, which once the flowering season hits, pop open into an explosion of pastel pink color. Many look forward to the natural display each year.

During the cherry blossom light display period, a beer garden and beer terrace are also held! As if that weren't enough, a champagne lounge and the joy of an all-you-can-drink only available at a beer garden too make an appearance. Kids can delight in events and food trucks.
