Lake Mikawa: Recreation and relaxation
Used to irrigate the Mikawa region, Lake Mikawa is the largest man-made irrigation lake in Aichi Prefecture and is surrounded by the abundant nature of a mountain valley.
There is a 16-kilometer drive around the lake’s perimeter, which many use to appreciate the lake’s seasonal beauty. But why just settle for a drive when you can enjoy the numerous campgrounds peppering the area, offering daytime barbecues; a boat ride on the lake itself; and various hiking paths?
Listen to birdsongs and commune with Mikawa's multi-faceted nature at this charismatic getaway.
