Gorgeous cherry blossoms and vivid fall colors all at once

Obara Fureai Park is an oasis for the Obara area of Toyota City. Stroll along pathways around the park to enjoy its lush nature, and in spring and fall, the rare shikizakura cherry blossoms, which bloom twice a year.
The Japanese have a true love for the spring colors of cherry blossoms and fall colors of autumn leaves, but one could never dream to see them together, right? Wrong! In fall, shikizakura cherry blossoms come into bloom once again in brilliant pinks together with the deep red hues of fall in a wondrous, scenic natural collaboration.
These shikizakura cherry blossoms number around 300 in Obara Fureai Park and the neighboring Obara Branch of Toyota City Hall—totaling a stunning 10,000 or so in the greater area! They come into bloom from mid-March to early April in spring, and again from late October to early December in fall. The fall scene is truly awe-inspiring.
And from November 1 to 30, Obara Fureai Park becomes the main stage for the Shikizakura Cherry Blossom Festival as it takes place around the entire Obara area.
