Welcome to one of Toyota City's foremost cherry blossom spots: Yahagi Riverside Suigen Park. Cherry trees come into bloom on both sides of a stream embankment featuring a path in the middle which makes for a stunning Cherry Blossom Tunnel.
Suigen Park also offers an expansive lawn on which you are welcome to spread a blanket for a picnic under the pink hues as children play in this floral wonderland.

What to check out

Lawn area
A sprawling lawn is located within the park, where children can play to their hearts' desire. It also makes for sensational spot to enjoy a packed lunch or to just relax under the blossoms.

Cherry blossoms in spring, bird life in winter
A pathway under cherry trees makes for a pink tunnel of blossoms and one of the top spots in Toyota City to admire floral beauty, while in winter, numerous birds collect in the surrounding forest, making for the perfect chance to birdwatch as you take a stroll.

Cycling road
A cycling road connecting Toyota City to neighboring Anjo City to the southwest runs through the park. Bike mainly along the Meiji Yosui Irrigation Canal, enjoying waterside and seasonal scenes along the way.

    • From Toyotashi Station on the Meitetsu Mikawa Line (board from Fushimi, Akaike, or Chiryu), head to the East Gate Bus Platforms and take the Oiden Bus bound for Tsuchihashi Station (28-min. ride). Get off at Suigen Heiwa Bus Stop and walk 4 min. east (350 m).
    • From Mikawa-Toyota Station on the Aichi Loop Line (board from Kozoji, Setoshi, Yakusa, Naka-Okazaki, or Okazaki), walk 30 min. (2.6 km) east along Route 491 (past Toyota Motor Corporation Headquarters and Toyota Kaikan Museum).
