A specialty museum featuring Japanese swords, armor, ukiyo-e prints, and matchlock guns

The Nagoya Japanese Sword Museum—Nagoya Touken World—opened in 2024 as a spot to encounter the finest Japanese swords.
One hundred and fifty elegant Japanese swords, or "touken" are on display, including rare items designated national treasures, important cultural properties, and important art pieces. Plus, roughly 50 suits of armor and samurai helmets make a home here along with ukiyo-e prints depicting men in arms and battles, sword fittings, matchlock guns, and other works of art related to sword weaponry and warriors.
This museum was established with the aim of being a Meeting Spot for All to Commune with and Enjoy Japanese Culture, and it enjoys a place in the hearts of tourists and history buffs alike.
